Fixed-dose combination improves HbA1c by 1.2-1.8% in patients uncontrolled on metformin monotherapy, reduces body weight (2-3 kg), lowers BP, and provides CV/renal protection (HF hospitalization , eGFR preservation); no dose adjustment needed in renal impairment. Adults: 1 tablet once daily (morning preferred) with/without food; side effects include genital infections (8-12%), dehydration/orthostasis, nasopharyngitis; rare pancreatitis, DKA monitor volume status, renal function, ketones.
